Get In My Belly: Individual Peach and Honey Crumble

Welcome to Get In My Belly! This is a post meant for a Tuesday, but yesterday I was home sick. Don't worry, you won't catch it over the internet. Today I want to share with you a recipe I saw on one of my favorite sites, Baking Bites. Do you love peaches? Do you like honey?

Then I found a winner for you.

It's an Individual Peach and Honey Crumble, and by gosh does it look yummy. The recipe doesn't have any sort of exotic hard to find ingredients, assembly is painless, the bake time is less than an hour, and it's enough for 6 servings. It doesn't say you need to share these 6 servings, however. Peaches are seasonal fruits you can find May - August (at least from what I've seen). Can you use canned peaches? I don't see why not, but if you can get them fresh, why go for the canned substitute?

This would be amazing for that end of the summer barbecue or anytime it strikes up your fancy. I know for me, summer has been a bit of a deterrent for using the oven, but that really has been the issue of not having an A/C. So help me, if I had central air, I'd be a baking fiend for this recipe. Who doesn't like little individual desserts?

When Did I Start Becoming Honest?

Alright, I'm going to be straight with you (hard for me, I know). Everything have been very busy lately. The end of the month/beginning of the month in my line of work is a blur of paperwork, phone calls, emails, and issues. Not only that, there were some personal matters that had been going on for the past week. I ask you humbly for your forgiveness.

Yes, that wedding is THIS Saturday, and my dress is yet to arrive. Not only that, but between now and then I need to cut my hair, buy shoes, and do my nails. It's so tough being me I'll have you know.

When Did I Start Wishing For A Bakeware Shopping Spree?

Let me level with you. I love baking. I love the process. I love the presentation. I love the eating. So it's no surprise I've posted before that I want to be a baker and do a baked good delivery type service. Well, I took some time last night to look at a couple of my favorite Bakeware sites online, and I wanted to buy EVERYTHING!

Those are my top for things I want to buy right now. All of them are from Chicago Metallic. They have lots of other stuff too like pizza pans and measuring cups. I'm looking forward to stocking my kitchen when I move into my apartment. There is nothing like the smell of freshly baked goods when you're in your own place.
